VIT Vellore campus: address, area and library

1 answer

1. VIT’s official Contact Us page lists its Vellore Campus, Vellore – 632014, Tamil Nadu, India, with telephone +91-416-2243091 / 93. It separately lists the Chennai campus; choose Vellore when enquiring about a visit.

   Address, map and visiting

Use the official VIT contact page to confirm the entrance, building and visit arrangements with your host. A current institution-issued campus map was not verified, so this guide does not provide a campus-map download or gate-to-building directions. An institution’s website sitemap is not a physical campus map.

   Campus area

VIT’s official article, “VIT Vellore Campus Facilities: A Student’s Complete Guide,” dated 5 June 2026, describes a 372-acre residential campus. This is VIT’s published Vellore campus figure, not an independently measured area or the combined area of all VIT campuses.

   Periyar EVR Central Library

The official library page identifies the Periyar EVR Central Library, with print and electronic collections, a web-based catalogue, RFID self-issue/return and online renewal. Its learning-resource table explicitly identifies Vellore-Campus and is dated 8 October 2026; collection totals should therefore be read with their reference date.

Use the library’s current access and borrowing rules. Electronic subscriptions may require university authentication. Current holiday hours, visitor access and entrance permissions have not been confirmed; this guide does not imply unrestricted public entry.
