Where is Vellore New Bus Stand, and which buses leave from there?

Vellore New Bus Stand (New Bus Terminus) is on the Chennai–Bengaluru highway near Green Circle. It opened for buses in July 2022.
Location
- On the Chennai–Bengaluru National Highway, near Green Circle, Vellore.
- Roughly 5–6 km from Katpadi railway station (approximate).
- CMC Hospital's Town Campus is a short auto ride away.
Which buses run from here
- Long-distance: Chennai, Bengaluru, Coimbatore and other major cities.
- Government operators: Tamil Nadu (TNSTC/SETC), with separate bays for Karnataka (KSRTC) and Andhra Pradesh (APSRTC) buses.
- Private buses have their own allotted bays and a timekeeper's office (added January 2025).
- Town buses also connect to local areas.
Facilities
84 bus bays, 3 food courts, 11 waiting halls, lifts to first-floor bays, accessible restrooms, two-wheeler parking and CCTV coverage.
New vs old bus stand
The old bus stand is near the Fort on the Old Bangalore Road and still serves many town and nearby routes. If you are unsure, ask which stand your bus uses.
Timings change often. For government buses, check TNSTC/SETC booking or ask at the enquiry counter.
